This dataset was used to analyse the hydrodynamic effects of floodgate closures in the Venice Lagoon under different management scenarios, namely:

-The real-case "MoSE" scenario

-The hypothetical unregulated "OPEN" scenario

-The hypothetical regulated "AThOS" scenario

Folder: 01_WaterLevels
Contains .mat files with modelled water levels within the Venice Lagoon during floodgate closures between 2020 and 2023, for the OPEN, MoSE, and AThOS scenarios.


Folder: 02_Maps
Contains maps of salt marsh Mean Inundation Depth (MID) and Sedimentation calculated for the OPEN, MoSE, and AThOS scenarios.

File: Supplementary.xlsx
Contains additional information on model performance, records of floodgate closures, maximum water levels in the major urban settlements, and urban flooding.
