This dataset was used to analyse the hydrodynamic effects of floodgate closures in the Venice Lagoon under different management scenarios, namely: - MoSE: The real-case scenario with actual floodgate activations - OPEN: A hypothetical unregulated scenario with no floodgate interventions - AThOS: A hypothetical regulated scenario based on alternative operational strategies Folder: 01_WaterLevels -> Folder - Lagoonal Water Levels Contains .mat files with modelled water levels within the Venice Lagoon during floodgate closures between 2020 and 2023, for the OPEN, MoSE, and AThOS scenarios. Read_WaterLevels.mat: script to generate visualizations of the water level data -> Folder - Venice vs Marsh Flooding Contains .mat files with Venice and salt marsh flooding extend during the 69 floodgates activation under the OPEN, MoSE, and AThOS scenarios.
