CANBUS J1939 data to model fuel consumption and carbon emissions of forwarder: a case study in the Italian Alps.

Collection description
This dataset supports an analysis of the factors influencing fuel consumption in timber haulage operations. The case study focuses on forwarder productivity in salvage logging in a mountainous area of Italy, examining assortment type, logging distance and payload.
Using Automatic Work-Element Detection (AWED), the dataset reports the working status of the machine at a frequency of 1Hz (driving empty, loading, driving loaded, unloading).
