Collection description

This dataset supports an analysis of the factors influencing fuel consumption in timber haulage operations. The case study focuses on forwarder productivity in salvage logging in a mountainous area of Italy, examining assortment type, logging distance and payload. Using Automatic Work-Element Detection (AWED), the dataset reports the working status of the machine at a frequency of 1Hz (driving empty, loading, driving loaded, unloading).
