Genomic Insights into the Giant Shank Phenotype of Dong Tao Chickens Reveal Candidate Loci Involved in Skeletal Growth and Development.

Collection description
A total of 87 chickens belonging to four Vietnamese populations were included in this study. The case group consisted of 30 Dong Tao (DT) chickens, a Vietnamese in-digenous breed characterized by a markedly enlarged shank phenotype. The control group comprised 57 individuals from three Vietnamese local breeds, namely Ac (AC), Choi (CI), and Ho (H), all displaying a normal shank morphology.
